George Kouris, MD & Jocelin Sisto MA, MMS, PA-C Among First to Offer New BodyTite RFAL Treatment at 2 Locations … – PR Newswire (press release)

With hundreds of surgical practices in North America already utilizing InMode Aesthetic Solutions, doctors can ensure their patients receive surgical-like procedures with limited downtime by using the new BodyTite. The FDA cleared technology, for use on the stomach, arms, chest/breast, knees and inner/outer thighs, is minimally invasive and leaves virtually no scarring. Patients can elect to get treated under local anesthesia, thereby avoiding the need for heavy sedation. Results can be seen immediately after one treatment and are more evident over three to six months post-treatment.

Previously, patients looking for fat reduction procedures had limited options including multiple non-invasive treatments with limited skin contraction results, a surgical tummy tuck with downtime or a brachioplasty, leaving large excision scars. These options left patients who wanted less invasive procedures without a solution, or unhappy with the results of their treatment. With BodyTite, doctors are able to ensure patients receive minimally invasive, effective procedures and offer powerful aesthetic results.

“In the time since we’ve begun offering BodyTite, I have been very impressed with the amount of skin tightening we have seen. Patients were thrilled with the changes they are seeing after their procedure” says Dr. Kouris. “Very few technologies will actually change the way we practice, BodyTite is one of those technologies.”

Dr. Kouris and Midwest Plastic Surgery are located at 5201 S. Willow Springs Rd, Ste 440, LaGrange, IL. For more information, call 708-354-4667 or visit http://www.midwestplasticsurgery.org.

About Dr. Kouris and Midwest Plastic SurgeryGeorge Kouris, MD, and Midwest Plastic Surgery offers a comprehensive approach to cosmetic procedures. Mr. Foley most recently served as Chairman, President and CEO of ZELTIQ* Aesthetics (ZLTQ). He brings more than 25 years of operational and investment experience in the healthcare arena, and earlier this year led the sale of ZELTIQ to Allergan for $2.5 billion.

Revance is honored to add Mark Foley to our Board of Directors. Mark is a healthcare industry visionary, having significant leadership and commercialization expertise, said Dan Browne, President and Chief Executive Officer at Revance. With Marks experience as Chairman, CEO and/or board member for a number of aesthetic and medical device companies, he brings a broad and balanced perspective across diverse disciplines — from product positioning and commercial operations to strategies that drive company growth and generate significant shareholder value.

I am excited to join Revances Board of Directors and look forward to collaborating with the other members of the Board, as well as Revances leadership, to bring the first distinctly new neuromodulator to market, said Mr. Foley. He is a board member at Glaukos (GKOS) and also serves as Chairman of ULab and HintMD. Mr. Foley received a B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Concurrent with Mr. Foleys appointment, Ron Eastman will step down from the Revance Board of Directors. “Since joining our board in 2009, Ron guided us from our early development stage, through the initial public offering and now into pre-commercialization activities for our neuromodulator programs,” said Mr. Browne. Fillers and boob jobs: Toowoomba doc urges caution – Toowoomba Chronicle

A TOOWOOMBA doctor is appealing for people to do their research before having a cosmetic medical treatment following the death of a woman who suffered a cardiac arrest during a botched boob job at a beauty clinic last week.

Medical Director of Cosmetic Elegance Clinic in Toowoomba, Eddie Roos, said the death of Jean Huang, while tragic, “should not have happened.”

Dr Roos said that for some time there had been calls from Cosmetic Physicians and Colleges throughout Australia to have more regulation of cosmetic procedures carried out at beauty salons.

“Considering the amount of people who have cosmetic medical treatments in regular beauty salons each day, we are likely to see more accidents of this nature occurring. How many more people have to die unnecessarily before something is done?” asked Dr Roos.

“We want people to know how important it is to have cosmetic medical treatments at a medical clinic performed by trained, registered medical professionals, and under medical supervision. Cheap options can cost you your health or even your life,” Dr Roos said.

Dr Roos said people should ask about the emergency response protocol of the beauty salon or skin clinic and if there would be a registered doctor on site who would oversee the treatment.

The cosmetic medicine industry is growing rapidly with more people turning to non-invasive or minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedures.

But Dr Roos said people needed to be aware that not every salon or clinic adheres to the regulations and standards required to perform cosmetic treatments safely.

He urged people to check the credentials of the clinic and whether they were affiliated with the cosmetic medicine colleges such as The Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia (CPCA), the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine (ACAM) and the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS).
